WayMaker has often been asked by our African partners to consider how we might help with feminine hygiene in truly impoverished communities.

For many girls, they lose up to a week of schooling every month because of their period. In African culture, many women and girls are at a disadvantage already without losing 25% of their schooling because of a solvable problem.

We are pleased to work with Days For Girls to provide a locally sourced solution. We are beginning with a pilot in the slums of Nairobi and are looking for funds to purchase the initial stock and materials.
