Our History

WayMaker was founded by Andy Robinson and registered as a charity in England and Wales (1199440) in June 2022.

As a result of Andy’s Christian beliefs, the purpose of the charity is to share good news and make a way where there is no way by looking to relieve sickness and financial hardship, preserve good health and advance education in some of the poorest communities in the UK, Europe and the world.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make a way where there is no way for the poor, sick, marginalised, uneducated, and displaced.

Our Vision

To mobilise a community committed to generating and sharing personal and corporate wealth to help balance an unbalanced world.

Our Values

FRIENDS FIRST: We value relationships above all else. For beneficiaries, we want to be friends on this mission together before anything else. Thus, before we take on a project, we ensure we have what it takes to be FRIENDS FIRST long before money is involved. Equally, for those who become WayMaker Benefactors and give, we want to be friends on this mission together by developing a community that gives together, communicates together and make a way together.

GENEROSITY: We believe that there is sufficient resources in our world to allow everyone to live a peaceful life, free of the fear of loss of dwelling, hunger, preventable sickness, discrimination, and war and where everyone has access to education that is not based on one’s financial standing. However, we don’t live in a balanced world and the vast majority of the worlds wealth and resources reside with the few and so we believe that those few must be generous towards the many.

JUSTICE: We believe in Justice for all and are looking to help balance an unbalanced world, level the playing field, to stamp out inequality and discrimination wherever we operate in the world.

SUSTAINABILITY: Whilst charity is essential, it can also be toxic as it can create dependency. WayMaker is committed wherever possible to developing self-sustaining projects that allow them to operate far beyond the life of the physical development we have provided grants for.

TRANSPARENCY: We prize transparency in all we do and expect the same from all our partners. We insist on financial transparency from partners, beneficiaries, project developers and managers. We want it in all aspects of our work and relationships.

STEWARDSHIP: We will ways steward the money we are entrusted with well and expect the same of our partners.
