Our African partners have often asked WayMaker to consider how we might improve feminine hygiene in truly impoverished communities.
Many girls lose up to a week of schooling every month because of their period. In African culture, many women and girls are at a disadvantage already without losing 25% of their education because of a solvable problem.
We are pleased to work with Days For Girls to provide a locally sourced solution. We are beginning with a pilot in Nairobi’s slums and are looking for funds to purchase the initial stock and materials.
This appeal is to raise the £2,500 needed to purchase the sewing machines, materials and everything to set the girls up with all they need to start producing reusable solutions for themselves and their peers
If you can help, we would love to partner with you.
