Some Great News to Share

OPEN LETTER TO OUR SUPPORTERS

Hi there,

I wanted to share some great news with you that I am excited about.

From the 1st of June, Hazel and I embarked on a massive faith journey as I focused entirely on WayMaker, the charity I set up two years ago. We have seen God’s miraculous favour in the things that WayMaker has done, more than we could have asked for or imagined, and so we feel that now is the right time to leave the staff team at Lifespring and follow God’s favour through WayMaker.

In many ways, this could seem like the wrong time. I have a cancer diagnosis that is treatable but not curable; I have a current employer who has been so generous, supportive, and caring and provided much-needed financial security to Hazel and me over the last 18 months. Yet, in God, we feel that it is time, once again, to start taking some risks with Him, to follow where he is leading, however crazy, and trust in His goodness, knowing he has a plan to prosper and not to harm, to give hope and a future.

Practically, WayMaker has raised almost £300,000 in the last two years for various projects and initiatives, making a way for the poor, sick, marginalised, uneducated, and displaced. However, while the project funding has been outstanding, giving to WayMaker’s general, unrestricted funds has been much more challenging. It is this general fund that will allow me to draw a part-time salary and pursue what God is calling us to in the coming months and, hopefully, years.

I wanted to ask if you would consider supporting us and becoming a partner by giving monthly to WayMaker’s general funds?

You can give any amount simply by visiting the WayMaker Website: https://waymaker.org.uk/donate/ or by making a transfer to our bank account (67261510 | 08-92-99) with the reference “GEN <your surname>”.

If you are a UK Taxpayer, we would appreciate it if you also selected the GIFT AID box so we can claim another 25% of your gift from the government.

I appreciate that, like me, you may have personal challenges, priorities, hopes, and dreams to pursue. I understand that your resources are not infinite, and I realise that you may be unable to help in this way at this point in time. If so, I wish you every success and blessing in your adventure and ask if you would pray for me, for WayMaker and the mission we believe God has called us to.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions and want to chat more about this, then book a time that is convenient for you at: waymaker.org.uk/contact-us/

Much Love,

Andy
