BUILDING A SCHOOL IN TANZANIA
Pre-School for 90 Children in Mbeya
Early in 2024, our partners in Mbeya, Tanzania, approached WayMaker with a dream to build a preschool for 90 children. They provided architectural plans and a quantity survey, and the search for donors began.
A donor came forward late in May, and on June 24th, the WayMaker Zambia project manager arrived on site and approved the land purchase and the builders’ appointment.
Just 11 weeks later, on August 15th, 2024, the school is taking shape, as shown in the video here.
The school will be quickly completed before the start of the academic year in January 2025, when we will be looking forward to welcoming 90 new children, 27 of which will be orphans and vulnerable children from the community who we want to make a way where there is no way.
Support A Child
Between now and the end of the calendar year, we need to find 27 Child Education sponsors to help support those orphans and vulnerable children.
For just £25/month, you can support a child through their education, helping provide uniforms, shoes, books, pencils and even meals.
You will have written contact information from the children and regular updates on their progress. If you wish, you can also write to the child you are sponsoring.
