Drought and people in need Southern Africa

"In the first months of 2024, the Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean region have experienced the effects of El Niño causing floodings and drought spells. As a result, an estimated 36.8 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance to address mainly food security, nutrition and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) needs"

This problem is too huge to contemplate in many ways. How could WayMaker, how could you, make a way where there is no way for almost 37 million people? The answer is we can’t! But what if we could make a way for 1,000 people in Zambia? 1,000 individuals like you, with children, parents, and family, with hopes and dreams just like you? What if we could drill 10 boreholes in 10 villages in Zambia, and each borehole gave water, sanitation, hygiene, irrigation for crops and the ability to water their livestock?

Let's Make A Way Together

WayMaker is looking to adapt our climate and food security initiative to respond by drilling ten boreholes in 10 key locations to help as many people as possible in each village, which is conservatively estimated at 100 adults. Realistically, including children and people willing to travel for fresh, clean, water could be two or three times that figure per village.

Make a donation of as little as £10 and become part of a community making a way where there is no way.

With an army of donors, we can achieve this audacious goal!
