Beauty From Ashes
It’s been a little while since the flames were extinguished. The smoke has cleared. The embers have cooled. And now comes the harder part.
Because with the passing of time, the full weight of the devastation has begun to settle in. The fire that tore through the church building in Kitwe didn’t only destroy walls and steel. It displaced a whole community. It disrupted ministry, outreach, discipleship, and worship.
But we have not stood still. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to:
Fund a large tented structure, capable of withstanding Zambia’s rainy season, so the church can continue gathering as the rebuilding begins
Cover the costs for architectural plans and quantity surveying, both essential foundations for what comes next
But now we face the mountain.
We’re still waiting on the final figures, but I fully expect the cost to run into the hundreds of thousands of pounds. This is where vision meets reality. This is where faith digs deep. And not just faith for the church in Kitwe, but faith that God will supply every need for every person who chooses to give.
God’s provision often comes not through one large donation, but through many hands. People moved by His Spirit. People like you and me. People who say:
“I will give, and I will give again, because I believe in what God is building.”
This is more than a construction project. It’s a chance to restore dignity, rebuild community, and create a space where worship, discipleship, and mission can thrive. The building may have been destroyed, but the heart of the church is strong. And now that heart needs walls, a roof, and a foundation to stand on.
And something beautiful will rise from the ashes.
